Step by Step Layout Instructions

"Day at the Zoo" Layout

Materials

• Karen Foster Design Day at the Zoo Stickers

• Karen Foster Design Adhesive Backed Cork Sheet

• Green Cardstock

• White Cardstock

• Yellow Cardstock

• Blue Cardstock

• Tan Cardstock

• Circle Punch, 7/8-inch

• Brown Ink

• Zig Journaling Marker, Black Medium Point

• Adhesive

• Scissors

Instructions:

• Mat a few of your photos with white cardstock to make them stand out from the others.

• Adhere your photos in collage fashion in the center of green cardstock, overlapping the photos if necessary.

• Cut the center away from 8 ½-inch x 11-inch piece of white cardstock, leaving a ¼-inch border.

• Lay your border onto a scrap piece of paper and add the zebra lines around the entire border using a medium point black journaling marker.

• To define the edges of the zebra border, place the tip of the marker halfway on the border and halfway on the scrap piece of paper and run it along the edges. This will leave just enough ink along the edges to define the border and add some dimension to your layout.

• Add title sticker and various animal stickers from the Karen Foster Design Day at the Zoo sticker sheet to coordinating cardstock pieces. Ink edges in brown ink.

• Embellish your layout with these stickers.

• Lastly, using a 7/8-inch circle punch, punch three (3) circles from the Karen Foster Adhesive-backed Cork Sheet. Ink edges with brown ink. Remove adhesive backing and adhere to your layout as an embellishment.

"Sisters" Layout

Materials

• Blue Cardstock

• White Scalloped Cardstock

• Green Grograin Ribbon

• Thin Point Black And White Micron Pens

• Paper Trimmer

• Scissors

• Adhesive

Instructions

• Trim 2 pieces white scalloped cardstock 6-inch square each and adhere to top left and bottom right corners of blue cardstock.

• Trim blue patterned paper 8-inch square and adhere towards right top corner of page. Adhere pink patterned to center of page. Trim around floral pattern on second piece of blue patterned paper and adhere over top of pink towards bottom left corner. Using 5-inch x 7-inch adhere to pink paper leaving a slightly larger border on the bottom of the page then the top.

• Trim and apply ribbon pieces creating faux stems and adhere soft spoken flowers.

• Adhere Sisters soft spoken to create title of page.

• Hand journal on strips of white cardstock and adhere.

"Just Be" Layout

Materials

• K&Company Margo 2 –sided Paper Pad

• K&Company Margo Collage Words Grad Adhesions

• K&Company Margo Adhesive Chipboard Words

• K&Company Margo Paper Flower Brads

• Ribbon

• Pearl Pin

• Lace

• Manila Envelope

• Scissors or Paper Trimmer

• Adhesive

• Use newspaper print from scrap pad for base page. Layer teal dot 2-inch x 4-inch, blue flower 7 ½ -inch x 12-inch, blue plaid 6-inch x 6-inch, green gingham 6-inch x 12-inch”, and striped 2 ½ -inch x12-inch with decorative scalloped edge papers. (refer to photo for placement)

• Embellish top edge of green gingham with cream lace. Create a 2 ½ -inch x 5-inch tag from striped paper and adhere to top left side of blue plaid paper. Embellish tag with cream ribbon and “great MEMORIES” grand adhesion.

• Trim flap of manila envelope with pink, teal and ivory paper, embellish flap with circles from Adhesive Chipboard Words.. Embellish bottom of envelope with “just BE” chipboard words. Using foam dots, attach to page. (refer to photo for placement)

• Mat a 7 ½ -inch x 7 ½ -inch photo onto teal dot paper, at foam dots to back side, slip right edge of photo under envelope flap.

• Create a 2-inch x 2-inch envelope from pink, teal and ivory paper and mat, with envelope flap open, onto 3-inch x 3-inch blue floral paper. Embellish envelope with Paper Flower, pearl pin, ribbon and “You are my world” grand adhesion. (refer to photo for placement)
